  3. My mind in a whirl of confusion
  4. Floats about the room
  5. Searching for something that will
  6. Chase away the bad feelings
  7.  
  8. Nothing can take away
  9. The thoughts of the back of his hand
  10. Coming slowly toward my fragile face
  11. And almost breaking it into a million pieces
  12.  
  13. Nothing can take away
  14. The fear of what may come
  15. If I tell him my true feelings
  16. And attempt to walk out the door
  17.  
  18. The hand would grab me
  19. And pull me back in 
  20. So I shall not escape my biggest fear
  21. I would fight helplessly for my precious life
  22.  
  23. The hand would soon give in
  24. Too worn out by it's satanistic deeds
  25. It would let me go, 
  26. But not without a good fight
  27.  
  28. Now that I am free,
  29. I don't know how to forget
  30. All of the horrible memories,
  31. Is there any way to leave them behind?
  32.  
  33. I don't know now,
  34. Nor will I ever know,
  35. But someday they will go away
  36. And only the good memories will stay
